The Stack Restaurant and Bar, Muchalls
The restaurant is located in the coastal village of Muchalls, and took its name from the sea stacks found on the stunning coastline of the village. Since undergoing major refurbishment in 2015, The Stack has become a very well known place to be relaxed and comfortable while enjoying superb and seasonal dishes, all prepared with local produce and suppliers.

The bar is very well presented and you’ll find a huge variety of drinks to choose from. The selection includes malts, gins, local craft beer and even The Stack’s own branded ale on draught or you can simply have a coffee or tea. Dogs are also very welcomed here (bar and outside seating area.)
The restaurant and bar is a 10 minute drive from Aberdeen, just off the A90.

The Marine Hotel & Restaurant
This establishment has been going strong since 1884, now offering 4-star rooms, a superb restaurant, brilliant lounge bar and their very own brewery. A 20 minute journey from Aberdeen will take you to their front door, situated in the scenic seaside town of Stonehaven with plenty of local residents and tourists visiting for their superb food quality and locally sourced first class fish and ingredients.
The restaurant in on the first floor with over 50 covers offers stunning views of the harbour, and their fish is freshly delivered daily from nearby Gourdon and Aberdeen fish markets. The specials board is updated daily, with different fish available. Vegetarians are very well catered for here too, with many options including increased size of starters as alternatives to main courses. Each meal can be joined with a choice of over 200 beers mainly from Belgium.

The lounge bar is just as impressive, catering for any desire one could have. You can choose from over two hundred bottled beers, six real ales from Scottish Micros and twelve craft beer taps. Also available are the finest quality whiskies an wine, and in fact The Marine has been awarded the Best Real Ale Bar Scotland in 2008, and in Aberdeenshire from 2008 and still to this day holds this title. The lounge has a very relaxed vibe, and will certainly be an experience you will not forget.

The Marine is also part of the Six˚North family, a brewery based in North East Scotland, they have embraced the Belgian way – blessed with pure soft water and fields of high quality barley, the beers are unfiltered and carbonated naturally through secondary fermentation. These processes provide the drinker with a live and uncompromising experience.

The Marine also has on their extensive list of experiences and products the Midsummer Beer Happening, a beer festival that has proven to be a huge success in the region. It takes place this year on from June 16th – 18th, and brings a magical mix of brilliant brews, fantastic food and magnificent music in Stonehaven’s Baird Park.
