The Stack Restaurant and Bar, Muchalls
The restaurant is located in the coastal village of Muchalls, and took its name from the sea stacks found on the stunning coastline of the village. Since undergoing major refurbishment in 2015, The Stack has become a very well known place to be relaxed and comfortable while enjoying superb and seasonal dishes, all prepared with local produce and suppliers.
The bar is very well presented and you’ll find a huge variety of drinks to choose from. The selection includes malts, gins, local craft beer and even The Stack’s own branded ale on draught or you can simply have a coffee or tea. Dogs are also very welcomed here (bar and outside seating area.)
The restaurant and bar is a 10 minute drive from Aberdeen, just off the A90.

The Marine Hotel & Restaurant
This establishment has been going strong since 1884, now offering 4-star rooms, a superb restaurant, brilliant lounge bar and their very own brewery. A 20 minute journey from Aberdeen will take you to their front door, situated in the scenic seaside town of Stonehaven with plenty of local residents and tourists visiting for their superb food quality and locally sourced first class fish and ingredients.
The restaurant in on the first floor with over 50 covers offers stunning views of the harbour, and their fish is freshly delivered daily from nearby Gourdon and Aberdeen fish markets. The specials board is updated daily, with different fish available. Vegetarians are very well catered for here too, with many options including increased size of starters as alternatives to main courses. Each meal can be joined with a choice of over 200 beers mainly from Belgium.
The lounge bar is just as impressive, catering for any desire one could have. You can choose from over two hundred bottled beers, six real ales from Scottish Micros and twelve craft beer taps. Also available are the finest quality whiskies an wine, and in fact The Marine has been awarded the Best Real Ale Bar Scotland in 2008, and in Aberdeenshire from 2008 and still to this day holds this title. The lounge has a very relaxed vibe, and will certainly be an experience you will not forget.
The Marine is also part of the Six˚North family, a brewery based in North East Scotland, they have embraced the Belgian way – blessed with pure soft water and fields of high quality barley, the beers are unfiltered and carbonated naturally through secondary fermentation. These processes provide the drinker with a live and uncompromising experience.
The Marine also has on their extensive list of experiences and products the Midsummer Beer Happening, a beer festival that has proven to be a huge success in the region. It takes place this year on from June 16th – 18th, and brings a magical mix of brilliant brews, fantastic food and magnificent music in Stonehaven’s Baird Park. The Captain's Table at the Ship Inn  
This restaurant can be found in The Ship Inn, which is one of the oldest inns in the surrounding area. Founded and built in 1771, it has been excellent at offering diners and guests a great place to eat and sleep with picturesque views of the nearby harbour and the historic surroundings.
The Captain’s Table Restaurant offers a fantastic range of dishes; all prepared using the finest and freshest ingredients. The fish is caught locally, and seafood is the restaurant’s speciality but they do offer fine steaks, chicken dishes, pasta and home-made burgers which are all available on a very extensive menu.
They also have a huge variety of wines to choose from, along with an excellent choice of liquors and real ale – all from a quaint bar. They have daily Chef’s Specials which use the finest and freshest seasonal ingredients.
The Captain’s Table is open Monday to Friday from midday to 2.15pm, and then 5.30pm till 8.30pm, and Saturday from midday till 9.30pm and Sunday from midday till 8.30pm.

Molly's Cafe Bar
Molly’s Café Bar is a brilliant and friendly café/bar situated on the beach promenade in Stonehaven, and they strive to provide their customers with a friendly and fast experience when they visit every time. They source their ingredients locally and always endure to get the best and freshest of these ingredients. The café/bar is open 7 days a week, and they have a brilliant range of food to choose from, be it their Breakfast & Lunch menu or their Evening menu, along with an excellent choice of wines, local beers, ciders, ales and spirits.
The Breakfast menu is available from 9am until 11:45am, and their most popular breakfast is the Moll’s All Day Breakfast – bacon, egg, beans, tattie scone, hash brown, black pudding, haggis, tomato and mushroom and also includes either granary or white toast and a drink of your choice. They have a wide variety of dishes to feed your breakfast appetite, including vegetarian options too.
The Lunch menu is available from 12pm until 4pm, and is again plentiful. You can start with a soup of the day, black pudding bon bons or Cullen skink (and many more.) They have paninis, sandwiches, baked tatties or the brilliant Molly’s Club Sandwich – Triple decker with chicken, bacon, egg, garlic mayo and baby gem lettuce and this is served with chips and salad. Or you can opt for some superb burgers, some freshly caught fish or some excellent salads.
The drinks menu at Molly’s Café Bar is a true highlight, with a wine list from Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier to Chocolate Merlot and Stellanbosch.  They can also provide you with some lovely prosecco in the form of Santi Nello. The bar’s beer and cider are bottled and selected from Scottish craft breweries only and include to name a few; Windswept, Deeside and Thistly Cross. The bar has also sourced many spirits from Scottish based distilleries that include; Esker, Edinburgh Rhubarb & Ginger and Dark Matter rum – they have plenty more spirits available too.

The Tolbooth Seafood Restaurant
Situated in Stonehaven on the northern harbour wall, the Tolbooth is one of the oldest historic buildings in the small town. The restaurant gives its customers stunning views of the picturesque harbour. The building, the county Tolbooth, is a 16th century establishment that has stood sentinel at the harbour through Stonehaven’s history, and events within its walls have a deep impact on the town.
Their a la carte menu is available for lunch and dinner, from Tuesday to Saturday and also Sunday dinner in the summer months. Their menu is updated four times a year; this is to incorporate the best of the local and seasonal produce. The lobster season runs from May until the end of September during which the restaurant endeavours to have lobster available to their customers.
The restaurant has the prestigious AA Best Seafood Restaurant, Scotland award, of which it won it 2006 and came runner-up and finalist in 2007 and 2009 respectively. The restaurant is clearly well renowned and provides excellent service to its customers.
